W：   Hi. We run into each other a lot here, don’t we?

M：   Yeah. I guess it’s because we both have lots of homework.

W：   No doubt about that. Are you going to borrow all those books?

M：   Yeah. I have to do a presentation on computers in class tomorrow.

Question No. 15

M：   How was the pool, Karen?

W：   Wonderful. I could swim without worrying about people getting in my way. That’s why I like swimming in the morning.

M：   Don’t you feel tired afterwards?

W：   No. it gives me energy.

M：   Hmm. Maybe I should take up swimming, too.

Question No. 16

W：   Excuse me, where are your travel guidebooks?

M：   Over on the other side of the store, past the cookbooks. Oh, and there are some in the discount section, too.

W：   I’ll check the discount section first, then. Where is it?

M：   My the front door, next to the cash registers.

W：   Thank you.

 

Questions No. 17 to 19

ED：       So, who’s going on the picnic this weekend, Jean? We have to decide who brings what.

JEAN：   Let’s see. Tom, Mike, Brian, and Kate. Hm. Betty and Nancy. That’s eight, including us.

ED：       Okay. Let’s ask Tom to bring the ice and Mike to bring soft drinks.

JEAN：   Yeah, they’re not very good at cooking. I think Brian and Kate are probably going to fried chicken. That’s their specialty.

ED：       Yeah. And we can ask Betty to bring hot dogs.

JEAN：   I already got the hot dogs.

ED：       So, why don’t we have her bring some French fries, then?

JEAN：   Good idea. And Nancy said she’d bring apple pie. Everyone loves her pie.

ED：       What should I bring?

JEAN：   Well, I’ll bring paper cups and everything else. So you can just bring yourself. Okay? After all, your birthday is this weekend, isn’t it?
